OVERVIEW

Status Hi-Tech is a wholly owned Zambian company with its Head Office in Chingola on the Copperbelt Province of Zambia.

The passion to care for the people and the property in these industries gave rise to Status Hi-Tech the name which is synonymous with safety in Zambia, and is leader in its line of business.

Status Hi-Tech was incorporated in 1998. Prior to that, the founding Principal Shareholder had been exposed to the Safety and Fire industry through previous employers and has experience spanning 30 years now.

The company trades with the mining, manufacturing and the agro sectors and is managed by a highly competent management team that runs the company's Sales and Marketing, Finance, Human Resource and Technical departments.Company currently employs over 70 self motivated and well trained staff.

Status Hi-Tech has branches in Lusaka and Solwezi which service the Copperbelt, Lusaka, Southern Province and the North Western provinces of Zambia, where the targeted markets are mainly concentrated and is positioning itself to penetrate the unentered regions, particularly the agro sector as well as to service international markets such as the Democratic Republic of Congo and Malawi.

Status Hi-Tech has since its inception been the preferred provider of safety equipment and accessories, protective clothing, fire fighting equipment, installations and servicing to the mining industry, being granted a number of long term contracts to supply these products and services as well as welding accessories and electrical equipment and various industrial equipment.

TRAINING AT STATUS HI-TECH

At Status Hi-tech, training is of paramount importance. A huge amount of investment goes into the training of both the internal (employees) and external customers. Internal customer training puts emphasis on self motivation, product knowledge, sales technique and any such areas as may be seen relevant to boost company operations. External training is aimed at end users to optimize product usage. It is also used to promote and announce new product developments. Resource persons are sometime drawn from experts locally and internationally as well as internal experts in the company. Currently a new training and resource centre is being constructed at Head office in Chingola to carter for growing training needs.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY AT STATUS HI-TECH

One of the company's objectives is to adopt a responsible position in the community through corporate social responsibility programmes. In line with this objective, the company;
